MANAGER, STRATEGIC PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Strategic Planning and Performance Management and Evaluation Unit
The University is seeking a self-motivated and results-oriented Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance Management with a proven track record and the ability to operate at a senior management level. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the successful candidate will manage and support performance contracting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates the drafting and signing of Performance Contracts for all staff in line with regulatory requirements, Annual Plan and Strategic Plan.
- Provides guidance on measurement standards, targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the performance contracting process.
- Coordinates the measurement, monitoring and evaluation of performance against set targets.
- Ensures performance appraisals are completed accurately and maintains records of the reports.
- Develops performance contracting training manuals, policies and procedures,
- Facilitates, in collaboration with the Public Service Academy (PSA), training in performance contracting.
- Provides input on the development of the University’s Annual Plan.
- Facilitates Training in strategic planning at the department level, and ultimately at University level.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Strategic Management or related field, plus at least four (4) years of post-qualification relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the regulations, statutes, ordinances, and other legislative provisions that apply to higher education.
