The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) extends its profound congratulations to our esteemed Council Chairperson, Professor Lindiwe Majele Sibanda, on her appointment as the new Jury Co-chairperson of the Food Planet Prize.

 

Professor Sibanda is succeeding Professor Johan Rockström in this role, taking the helm of an award globally recognized for its ambition to identify and support transformative solutions for a more sustainable global food system.

 

This appointment is a testament to Professor Sibanda’s distinguished global leadership and expertise in agriculture, food security, and policy. Her remarkable professional portfolio includes serving as the former Chair of the CGIAR System Board, holding high-level positions at AGRA and FANRPAN, and her current roles as an Extra-Ordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria and a board member for prominent global organizations like Nestlé and the GESDA.
