Biography:

Ms. Sindiso Ndlovu is a demographer and development researcher with over a decade of experience in population, health, and environmental research across Southern Africa. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Sciences, where she teaches and supervises postgraduate students in Research Methods and Migration & Development.

A Doctoral Candidate in Demography and Population Studies, Ms. Ndlovu’s expertise spans migration and displacement, food security, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Her multidisciplinary work has addressed complex challenges ranging from the impact of lithium mining on livelihoods to the socio-economic effects of displacement on vulnerable communities. As a skilled data analyst, she has extensive experience in translating complex datasets into evidence-based policy and community interventions. Ms. Ndlovu is recognized for her collaborative approach, working closely with government, academia, and civil society to advance equity and resilience in the face of Africa’s evolving climate and socio-economic pressures.
