Eng. Mudhindi is a Civil Engineer and Academic currently serving as the Department Chairperson and Lecturer in the Civil and Water Engineering Department at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo. His academic tenure at NUST includes previous experience as a Lecturer and Postgraduate Coordinator within the Department of Construction Economics and Management. Beyond his university responsibilities, he holds the position of Alumni Chair for the Global Sanitation Graduate School of the Netherlands (Eastern and Southern Africa) and serves as an External Assessor for the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO). In the professional engineering sphere, Eng. Mudhindi is a Board Member for the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) and chairs the Water, Sanitation, Climate, and Environment division. In this capacity, he contributes to national strategic initiatives, including the Zimbabwe National Adaptation Plan (NAP), which aims to enhance climate resilience and integrate climate change adaptation into national developmental planning. He is a Corporate Member of the ZIE and a registered professional with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe. His technical expertise is informed by a diverse industry career, having served as a Projects Engineer at Hydrabuilt, a Resident Engineer at Mannick Holdings in South Africa, and an Engineer for the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructural Development’s Department of Roads. Additionally, he has practiced as an Engineer at Chisipo Consultants and contributed to professional development as a facilitator for courses at Masimba Holdings

- Construction Safety and Design Management: Investigating SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) integration within the lifecycle of infrastructure projects.
- Climate-Resilient Infrastructure: Exploring the impact of climate change on water and sanitation systems and developing adaptive engineering materials.
- Civil Engineering Material Innovation: Investigating the use of sustainable or recycled materials in road and water infrastructure to enhance durability and reduce environmental
- Project Management in Engineering: Researching lean construction and project coordination frameworks to improve the delivery of complex civil engineering works.
