WEB DESIGN

In this hands-on course, participants will gain extensive experience with web-design tools and the syntax and semantics of scripting languages. You will learn how to design professional feature rich cross-browser web-sites.

Entry Requirements:           Training in an IT introductory course e.g. Digital Skills Licence, ICDL or IT Essentials

Duration:                               5-7 Weekends - Sat and Sun (Not continuous)

Lessons run from morning to late afternoon.

·       Web Design Concepts

·       WordPress Installation and Configuration

·       Installing and Managing Themes

·       Content creation using Pages

·       Writing Blog Posts

·       Creating and Editing Widgets

·       Installing and Activating Plug-ins

·       Search Engine Optimisation

Assessment:               Hands on lab activities are an essential element of this course. Students are expected to pass both practical and written exams.

Certification:            Qualifying students shall be certified by NUST-CCE and shall receive Certificates of Proficiency, Completion or Attendance depending on pass mark.
