Mr Stanford Ndlovu


Mr Ndlovu brings 28 years of experience in financial management and administration from both the private and public sectors.His journey in financial management started in 1992 at the Bulawayo City Council where he worked as an Accounting Officer and Principal Accountant in the Housing Department.In 1995 he joined Wankie Colliery Company Limited as Management Accountant, rising through the ranks to the positions of Stores Controller (1997) and Assistant Finance Manager (1998).He also worked for the Bulawayo City Council as Deputy City Treasurer (2001), Mimosa Mining Company (Pvt) Ltd as Operations Accountant (2003), Delta Beverages (Pvt) Ltd as Finance Executive (2004), and Tobacco Sales Floor Limited as Finance Executive (2008).Before this latest appointment, Mr Ndlovu has been working at Hwange Colliery Company Limited as the General Manager for Finance and Administration since 2012.He holds a Bachelor of Technology Honours Degree in Accountancy (University of Zimbabwe) and is a Chartered Management Accountant.

The function of the Bursar’s Department is to safeguard the funds and assets of the University, invest University funds as well as to authorise and allocate expenditure. The Bursar is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for oversight of this Department.  He is assisted   by two (2) Deputies, one is responsible for the Finance and Administration portfolio and the other of the Accounting and Systems Management Portfolio.
