The Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS) is a reputable technical support provider that caters to over 10,000 customers in the university community. Our IT Service Desk, Device Provisioning, Device Support, Engineering, and Networks Teams are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service that supports the university's fundamental missions of teaching, research, learning, and community engagement.

At ICTS, our teams are well-equipped to offer a range of services, including assistance with campus applications and troubleshooting wired and Wi-Fi networks for faculty, emeriti, staff, and student employees. Additionally, we are available to offer guidance on purchasing IT equipment, supporting eligible devices, providing file share management, and offering general IT consulting services. It is worth noting that these core services are available to all NUST stakeholders. We recognize that some departments may require IT services that extend beyond our core offerings.

 

Our extended services are available at an additional cost and are tailored to meet specific departmental requirements. These services may include offering IT department or project leads, additional on-call support to executive staff and faculty, IT assistance for researchers, or addressing other department-specific requirements.

Our Service Desk is available to provide support Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays). Core Services

ICTS provides support and troubleshooting for many campus applications,

Visit the ICTS Front Office or Walk-in Centre to get assistance with configuring your ICT equipment so that it connects safely to the NUST network. Front Office consultants will assist staff, third parties, and students in managing password changes and obtaining the latest anti-virus support and updates. They also provide basic Windows support and hardware troubleshooting.

Our expert teams at ICTS are fully equipped to troubleshoot any network problems that you may face. Whether you require remote assistance through our Service Desk or on-site support from our Device Support Team, we can provide seamless solutions for registering your devices and resolving issues related to the wired network, Wi-Fi services, and VPN. You can trust us to deliver prompt and reliable assistance every time.

The management of data storage, file share provisioning, and secure data servers is a crucial responsibility of the system administrators at ICTS. In addition, the system administrators oversee access control to your data by setting appropriate permissions for staff, faculty, and guests to access or save files to the file share. As such, your data is kept secure and confidential at all times. Should you require any assistance with your data storage, please do not hesitate to contact our system administrators at ICTS.

The ICTS Support Team is here to provide unwavering support to you. We handle desktop and laptop computers as well as mobile devices via our Helpdesk and on-campus teams. Our Device Services include:

  • Setting up computers with NUST Configurations
  • Configuring and connecting printers
  • Assisting with connecting supported devices to the campus wired and wireless networks
  • Installing campus productivity suites and other software
  • Removing computing devices, including securely erasing hard drives for disposal
  • Configuring Remote Desktop
  • Managing security incidents for managed devices

We are here to help you with troubleshooting general IT issues for standard devices and campus productivity software suites. While we do not handle hardware-related issues, we can assist in coordinating warranty repair of campus-funded and recommended equipment that is still under warranty with supported vendors. Remember, we are dedicated to providing you with the best possible service, every time you need us.

Our team of expert technicians at ICT Services can efficiently assist you in registering your printer or multifunction device for network access. We can also configure your device's network and security settings to ensure that it is secure from malicious attacks and prevent any unwanted printing. In addition to this, we can configure scan-to-email settings for multifunction devices with scanning capabilities. However, please note that printer maintenance, repair, and supplies must be provided by you or your vendor. You can always count on us to provide you with the best assistance. To request printer configuration, feel free to call our Service Desk anytime between Monday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
