RETURN TO CAMPUS OF FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

Return of Final Year Students to Campus

  1. Final Year Students (inclusive of Parallel and Block programmes) are advised that lectures will commence on the 15th of June 2020 under a phased approach as initially communicated. Please note that all lessons will be conducted during the day, that is, between 8am and 3pm.

  2. Final Year Students have been grouped into distinct groups to allow social distancing during teaching and examinations. Students are advised to strictly abide by the following schedule:

 

Group A: Faculties of Applied Sciences, Engineering, Commerce and Science and Technology Education  

Monday, 15 June 2020 – Lectures Begin

Friday, 24 July 2020 – Lectures End

Monday, 27 July 2020 to Friday, 31 July 2020 – SWOT Break

Monday, 3 August 2020 to Friday, 7 August 2020 – Examinations Week

 

Group B: Faculty of The Built Environment

Observance of social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitising

  1. Students are expected to produce their Student Identity Cards when entering campus.

  2. There will be temperature checking and sanitisation at all points of entry.

  3. Social distancing shall be observed at all times on campus and wearing of masks shall be compulsory.

  4. Chairpersons of Department will issue letters authorising students to travel from their various places of residence to NUST.

Registration

  1. Students are advised that Registration for the Second Semester 2019/2020 Academic Year has been extended to the 30th of June 2020.

Payment of Fees and Payment Plans

  1. Payment can be made using Internet Banking, ZIPIT, Paynow and Ecocash. Students are advised to quote their student number whenever payment is done online.  Details on the payment of fees are given on the NUST website as well as the student portal.

  3. The minimum deposit required to qualify for a payment plan is ZWL$1 200.00.

 

E-Learning

  1. It is hoped that by now Students have updated their mobile numbers on the Students’ portal.

  2. Notice on how to access data bundles will be issued as soon as possible.
