The Admissions and Student Records Section, which falls under the Registrar's Department, is situated on the Ground Floor of Zone B in the Administration Building. The Section handles all applications for Bachelors degree and postgraduate degree programmes, including diploma programmes and certificates courses for credit, while applications for non-credit short courses are handled by the Centre for Continuing Education. Apart from processing applications for admission, the Section is also responsible for  co-ordinating  the registration of students, maintenance of records for all students, keeping scholarship records, dispatch of examination results to individual students, writing of students' transcripts, ordering of certificates and academic dress. The Section plays an active role in the preparation for graduation ceremonies,  and conducts Elections for the Student Representative Council.
