Three non-examinable bridging modules are run to prepare candidates for the main programme modules listed above. The three modules are:
- Computer Skills
- Accounting and Finance and;
- Business Mathematics/Statistics
Participation in bridging courses is compulsory for all candidates. However, candidates with verifiable sufficient training and work experience in subjects constituting the bridging modules may be granted exemptions.
It is a requirement that students must pass all modules for that block before proceeding to the next. The pass mark in each module shall be 50%. Overall assessment ranges from 30% - 40% continuous assessment and 60% - 70% written examination and it is a regulatory requirement that a student passes both components of the assessment.
If a student fails a module he/she may, with approval of the senate, be allowed to repeat the module as provided for in the University’s General Regulations. No student shall be allowed to repeat a module more than once.
It is the responsibility of the student to secure adequate sponsorship.
